Artist Statement – Boben Mammen
My art serves as a testament to my journey
through life, a reflection of the ever-shifting
sands of time. Just as each day or fixed
period brings unique experiences for every
individual, my paintings offer a spectrum of
understanding and emotions to those who
immerse themselves in them. I envision my
existence divided into two distinct epochs:
the days when art beckoned me, guided me,
and provided sustenance for my soul, and the
days when I made the conscious decision to
dedicate myself to nurturing the art that had
allowed me to lead a comfortable life up until
then. During this transition, I delved deeper,
approached my craft with deliberate research,
and invested wholeheartedly in refining my
artistic process. Thus, I committed my life to
art, exploring every conceivable avenue of
creative expression.
